What's the difference between the Business and Education editions?
Same price, same size bands (SMB / Growth / Enterprise) — the difference is which toolkit is switched on. The Business edition is the full general HR platform: onboarding and reference checks, leave, timesheets, rostering, documents, training, offboarding, custom fields, executive HR & CFO reporting, Xero integration, evidence packs, reports, and audit trail. The Education edition is all of that plus the schools & early-learning toolkit, switched on automatically for schools and ELCs. Within your edition, every module is included from day one — the only thing that changes between plans is the employee headcount limit and support tier.
Do you support schools and early learning centres?
Yes — that's the Education edition. Schools and ELCs get everything in the Business plans at the same per-employee price, with purpose-built tools switched on automatically: casual relief teacher (CRT) rostering, a term-aware calendar, and child-safe recruitment with referee checks, plus WWCC and certification tracking (and ACECQA qualification tracking for ELCs). No separate plan, no education add-on — the same pricing with the education toolkit on.
What counts as an employee?
Any active employee profile in your organisation counts toward the limit. Former employees (offboarded), admin-only accounts without an employee profile, and your HR/admin users are not counted.
Can I switch plans?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade at any time. When you upgrade mid-cycle, you're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.
Does the Xero integration cost extra?
No — Xero Payroll AU integration is included in every plan at no extra cost. Export approved timesheets directly to Xero with a single click.
Is my data stored in Australia?
Yes — HR Konnect uses Neon PostgreSQL (ap-southeast-2) and Cloudflare R2 with Australian region endpoints. Your data never leaves Australia.
What support is included?
SMB plans include email support with next-business-day response. Growth plans include priority support with under 8-hour response and a dedicated account contact. Enterprise plans include SLA-backed support with under 4-hour response and a dedicated Customer Success Manager.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No lock-in contracts on SMB or Growth plans. You pay month-to-month and can cancel anytime. Enterprise plans are available with annual commitments for better rates.
